Before You Stick: Read This!
✌️ 1. Wipe Your Walls
Skipping this step? Your decals might not stick! Use a clean, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Let the surface dry completely before applying your decals (minimum 2 hours to be safe).
✌️ 2. Check Your Walls
Decals won’t stick to:
- Unprimed, flaking, or textured walls
- Low VOC or Wash & Wear paints
✌️ 3. Install: Step A
Start by applying the turtle, fish, coral, bubbles, shells, and seaweed before moving on to the whale.
- Peel each smaller decal off the backing paper completely—they do not require the peel-and-smooth method.
- Carefully position each piece on the wall and press it down firmly.
- Smooth from left to right or right to left across each shape, making sure to press out any air bubbles as you go.
- Once all the smaller decals are in place, you’re ready for the whale.
✌️ 3. Install: Step B (Whale)
Important: Do not remove the entire backing paper at once! The whale is large and can stick to itself if not applied carefully.
- Start at the tail (on the left side of the whale)—peel back a small section of the backing paper from this end, leaving the rest attached.
- Stick the exposed tail section onto the wall and smooth it down immediately using your hand or a soft cloth.
- Gradually peel away more of the backing paper bit by bit, pressing and smoothing from left to right as you go to prevent bubbles or creases.
- If you notice a bubble, gently push it towards the nearest edge while continuing to smooth from left to right. If needed, carefully lift the affected section, smooth it out, and press it back down.
- Once all pieces are in place, check that all edges are firmly pressed down. If any area needs adjusting, lift and reposition it before giving it a final smooth-down.
