Before You Stick: Read This!

Most walls are perfect for decals, and every decal's made from a premium fabric material that is kind to walls. Installing is a breeze for some and takes a bit more care for others, either way, we've put this guide together to set you up for the best result, and our team's here to support you every step of the way.

💡 Hot Tip: Keep Your Backing Sheet

Thinking of moving house one day? Hang onto the backing sheet. It's the easiest way to safely remove and transport your decals to a new wall, and you can reposition them again and again without losing any grip

✌️ 1. Check Your Walls
Decals stick best to smooth, painted walls. They won’t hold properly on:

  • Textured, bumpy, or popcorn walls (not enough smooth surface to grip)
  • Unprimed or flaking surfaces
  • Freshly painted walls, give it 45 days for the paint to fully cure first
  • Walls repainted without a primer coat between layers, if those layers aren't properly bonded to each other, your decal can lift away along with the top coat

Wash & Wear or Low VOC paint? Most walls are totally fine, but a small number of these paints can affect how well the adhesive grips. A bonding primer from your local hardware store can help if you're at all unsure.

✌️ 2. Wipe Your Walls
This one matters more than it looks! Any dust or grime left behind can stop your decal from sticking properly and cause bubbling underneath. Give the wall a wipe with a clean, damp cloth, then let it dry completely (at least 2 hours) before you start.

✌️ 3. Watch Out for Air Bubbles
Air bubbles are the most common hiccup, but they're totally avoidable. Smooth as you go and push the air out toward the edges as you apply, rather than trying to fix it all at the end. Take it slow and you'll get a clean, bubble free finish.

    ✌️ 4. Reference
Look at the reference below and use it to guide you but remember you can arrange them however you like.

✌️ 5. Start with the grass

Identify the three grass pieces included in your set. Make sure to leave at least 30 centimetres between each grass piece. This spacing allows room for your florals to be layered in naturally.

Once you are happy with the placement, apply each grass piece using firm pressure to smooth them onto the wall.

    ✌️ 6. Install Stem A & Daisy

Important: Do not remove the entire backing paper at once! This might cause the decal to fold and stick to itself.

Locate the stem labelled A and the matching flower labelled A on the second sheet. Flower A is the large daisy.

Using the layout guide provided, decide where Stem A will sit within your garden. Apply the stem first, smoothing thoroughly. Once secured, layer the daisy directly on top of the stem, aligning it carefully at the top.

✌️ 7. Install Stem B, Orange Flower and Leaf

Locate the stem labelled B. The direction does not matter, angle it slightly left or right to suit your layout. Apply the stem first.

Find the matching orange flower (Flower B) and place it on top of the stem.

Stem B also includes an additional leaf piece. Locate the matching leaf and position it along the stem as shown in the layout guide.

✌️ 8. Install Stem C and Pink Flower

Locate the stem labelled C and position it within your third grass tuft.

Apply the stem first, smoothing firmly. Find the matching pink flower (Flower C) and layer it on top of the stem, aligning carefully.

✌️ 9. Install Stem D and Blue Flower

Locate the stem labelled D and position it within one of your grass tufts to build out your garden scene. Apply the stem first.

Find the matching blue flower and layer it neatly on top.

✌️ 10. Install Stem E and Purple Flower

Locate the stem labelled E and position it within your remaining space to complete your floral arrangement.

    Apply the stem first.

Find the matching purple flower and place it on top of the stem, aligning carefully.

    ✌️ 11. Smaller Florals & Bees

    You will also find unmarked:

    • A smaller daisy
    • A darker pink flower
    • 2x leaves
    • 2x Bees

These can be placed around your larger flowers to add fullness and dimension to your garden. Use the layout guide as reference, or position them wherever feels balanced.

    ✌️ 12. Smooth

Once everything is installed, go back over each piece with firm pressure using a left and right smoothing motion to ensure all air pockets are removed and the decals are fully adhered.
